GoodShipping is looking for a Sourcing Development Manager to support us on our mission to decarbonise transportation. 

Companies must help prevent the worst impacts of climate change by reducing their greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions as much and as quickly as possible and keep global warming beneath 1,5 degrees centigrade. This includes reducing value chain emissions.

These solutions provided by FincoEnergies are labelled under the ‘Good’ brands like eg. GoodFuels, GoodShipping and GoodZero. One of these divisions is Carbon Management, providing 3 types of solutions to its customers: carbon calculation services, carbon reduction services in logistics (insetting) and carbon compensation services (offsetting). Customers within this division operate in several verticals and range from eg DHL, Geodis, JAS Logistics and Bolloré to BMW, IKEA, Swinkels Family Brewers, Tony’s Chocolonely, Beiersdorf, Dopper, Bugaboo, Leeds University, OTTO, Volvo etc.


FincoEnergies has offices in Rotterdam, Amsterdam, Den Helder, Epe, Singapore, Basel and Hamburg. 

About the role

The Sourcing Development Manager supports Head of Goodshipping on sourcing of Scope 3 emission and works on developing critical relationships that should form the basis of growth for GoodShipping 

Some example tasks

As the Sourcing Development Manager, you will be vital to our department Carbon Management. In this diverse role, you will support GoodShipping Team in the most structured and accurate way possible by helping to source carbon credits. A helicopter view is fundamental in your work.


  • Sourcing (buying); Identifying development partners to collaborate with. Building, maintaining partnerships plus contract management with the stakeholders. 
  • Development; Collecting and analyzing market information, drawing business cases, developing internal processes, developing a broad supplier portfolio, develop new business platforms. 
  • Deal execution; Structuring commercial terms of deals, being part of the negotiations and closing deals.  
  • Quality; Co-Develop and implement suitable quality criteria for different streams.  
  • Projects; Set up new projects and realize them.

As our new frontrunner you bring:
  • Relevant university degree; 
  • Minimum of 5 years of working experience; 
  • Experience in consulting or project management roles desirable; 
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills; 
  • Hands-on and can-do mentality; 
  • Strong PowerPoint skills;  
  • Excel modelling skills desirable;  
  • Background in Sustainability, Carbon or Fuels a plus;  
  • Intrinsic motivation to contribute to the energy transition; 
  • Strong negotiations skills; 
  • Fluent in English, ideally second non-native language.
